• ASSETS AND PROPERTY CHECKLIST
An assets and property checklist is just a list of the assets and property you own.
Preferably it should contain information on the type of asset or property; the
institutions or places it is located; address and contact information; the value of
the asset or property; how title to the property is held, and any other helpful
information.
John and Mary never prepared an Asset and Property checklist. In fact, like most
of us, their financial, tax, legal and other important documents were pretty
disorganized. If you know how difficult it can be to organize your own documents,
think about the headache and frustration it would be for someone else to do that
for you. That burden fell upon John and Mary’s parents at a time when they were
still grieving.
